About interest and rates

Funds in your Investor Savings account earn a variable interest rate. We compound interest daily at the rate in effect for your end-of-day Ledger Balance. We credit interest to your account after the close of business on the last day of each Statement Period for your account. When you deposit a non-cash item, such as a check, interest begins to accrue no later than the Business Day on which we receive credit for that item.

Schwab Bank Investor Savings uses balance tiers. The interest rate and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) applied to your account depend on your daily balance tier. Each tier reflects the current minimum balance required each day to obtain the applicable APY. For current tier levels and rates, visit our Rates & Features page or call 1(800)258-0044.

Because Investor Savings is a variable-rate account, the interest rate and APY may change at any time at our discretion. If the interest rate on your Investor Savings account changes, we will provide notice in accordance with your Schwab Bank Deposit Account Agreement and applicable regulations.
